Hey Robert, sorry for the delay. I do see the slight jumpiness in dragging in your example. It's a bit hard for me to dive into your particular usage at the moment, but it does look like the flare:FlareVis child you're rendering is a pretty complex set of sprites/objects. I haven't actually gotten a chance to look at their PanZoomControl in detail, but I'm guessing they've slimmed down their implementation of a component that will work well particularly w/ their other components as children, such as the flare:FlareVis. They might have specific interoperability and redrawing going on to make things smoother specifically for other types of objects that their library renders. I'm curious, why did you decide to use my PanZoom instead of their's?

This is a really great tool and has saved me a lot of development time for an app I'm building. The only trouble I'm really having at the moment is that panning is a bit "jumpy". In other words, there's a bit of a lag between mouse dragging and the component moving in response.

This may be caused by the fact that I'm handling a large number of child elements, but I was able to do something more basic (Prefuse Flare PanZoomControl) before finding this component and I didn't encounter that issue. Would you have any guesses on what's causing the performance issue?

Relevant code can be found using "View Source" on the test site for the app: http://soulliberty.com/Interactive/Genealogy/GeneFlexApp.html

I'm assuming you're talking about mousewheel zooming right? I'm seeing mousewheel zoom work correctly in IE 7, 8, and 9 in my testing environments for the <a href="http://www.rockholla.org/wp-content/demos/flex-panzoom/" rel="nofollow">demo</a>. I will say, however, that mousewheel support has gotten worse rather than better across browsers for Flash in general. I don't have a positive outlook on it, and it makes me doubt support for mousewheel actions (if not everything) for the future of Flash.

Let me know if you can provide more debugging info on your particular case and I'll try to help out in whatever way that I can.

Also, is they're a zoom command that fits the panzoom to the window?

Patrick. Great component. Running into an issue. Dynamically sizing zoompan component based on loading user selected images at runtime. Think of you second demo (flex-panzoom-image/) but dynamically loading the image. When I do this, I reset content size to the new image (actually a border container) and then the panning gets screwy. It seems to always be to the right and will snap back after I pan. Any ideas?
